Last night had been very satisfying, from an excellent dinner to the dance to dessert back at Mary's suite. Even if she'd only put in a token appearance at the dance before leaving, it had been memorable for other reasons.
She was reluctant to get up, though, and might linger in bed until her bedmate woke up.
