Mary woke up in a huge bed when the phone started ringing.
She would have ignored it. Daddy hated it when she answered his calls, but the phone wouldn't stop ringing and Daddy didn't seem to be around, so she answered it. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes as the person on the other end freaked out about her not being at the airport or something like that. The guy freaked out even more when she told him that Daddy wouldn't let her leave Las Vegas on her own. Then the guy said he was her fiancé, and Mary told him no, he couldn't be because she'd promised Danny McCoy that she was marry him someday. The other guy really seemed to freak out when she said that, so Mary hung up. Besides, she was hungry.
