Mary had talked to quite a few people around town, sharing her good news, but tonight came the tough part. First the call to her stepmother, who was thrilled by the news, then Danny, who was a bit more subdued but seemed happy. As long as Mary was involved with someone else, she mused, Danny could rest assured that she'd never come between him and Delinda.
There was one last call to Sam, who was not happy about it at all. In fact, Sam tried to talk her out of it, listing all the things that she didn't like about being married to Casey Manning. Mary pointed out she and Casey had dated after the divorce and Mary liked him. Sam countered with the fact that Mary had to break up with Casey over the phone because he as hiding in a secure location for most of the relationship. Mary argued that maybe he had a point as he was murdered a few months later. Either way, the conversation did not go well.
