Room 422, the Arms Hotel, Saturday evening
Normally, Mary would have gone out on a Saturday night, but tonight she made an exception. Gunther was making a special dinner for her and Ed and Mary was hoping that they could actually talk for once without getting into another argument.
After an exceptional meal, Gunther served up cherries jubilee for dessert and made a quick exit. Once the chef was gone, Mary put down her wine glass (filled with sparkling grape juice, of course) and asked the question she had been waiting for all day.
"So, what were you and Stan discussing this afternoon?"
