So, I leave tomorrow. 2800 miles. A good 40 hours of driving, if I go the speed limit (which I most likely will). I could book it there and make it in 4 days, or I could take it easier and do it in 5. It's a long road to drive by yourself. I'm going to be waking up at 7:30, and will be on the road by 8. Going to drive ten hours to Boise. Want to avoid the passes, so I'm driving down to Portland and going hard left. Thursday, the drive will be from Boise to Farmington, New Mexico. Might be the most difficult drive, 12 hours through Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico. From Farmington, will be traveling to Wichita Falls, Texas. Lots of driving with nothing around to look at, difficulty there will be staying awake and alert. From Wichita Falls, i'll drive straight to Monroe. Will be kind of a mop up day, the driving (only) taking 8 hours and through somewhat densely populated areas.

I really want to stop and visit the Grand Mormon Temple in Salt Lake City. The thing is huge and opulent. It's probably the closest thing to an honest to god cathedral we have in the United States. I realize that I can't go in, but i'd sure like to just stand there and look at it for awihle. I'll also be going through Albequerque and Abeline, and while I have no idea what there is to see in those towns, there might just be something to gawk at.

This has been a really interesting seven months. I don't know what to make of it quite yet. Lots of ups and downs.

My parents are subsidizing this trip, while expecting me to pay them back later for it. It's okay, I will have a job in which to do that. I feel blessed to even have one of those.

I'm kinda nervous driving across the country by myself. I'm also kinda spooked by the fact that this will be the last time I spend an extended period of time in Washington. Don't mind visiting for a week or two, but I'm not real keen on the atmosphere. Someone asked me the other day where my home was. I couldn't give them an honest answer. I don't know where my home is. It isn't here. It isn't in Louisiana. Where is it?

I don't know what to expect. At all.
