I don't have any homework. I don't have to be somewhere precisely on the hour every morning. I actually get holidays off. I get paid! The fridge is often filled with leftover pizza (OK, that was true during the school year too). I'm supposed to be working on research with Professor Esin this summer, but almost a fifth of the way into a ten week stint we have yet to do any actual work. I know things will pick up, but for now I'm perfectly content to chill in my first floor Sontag single! (Sontag is the Ritz of Mudd dorms.)
My bed, complete with space-age memory foam mattress (not shown)
My extremely dorky dual monitor computer system
My fabulous shelves and closet
My dishes and emergency rations (I love mesh storage cubes probably a little more than is normal and healthy)
My wall
The kitchen and lounge (notice the stadium seating).
And here's where I "work." Tony and Rocio are demonstrating what we do during a break from our highly stressful job (play Connect Four).
Huntley had a sale and this stuffed pig, which is also a computer monitor cleaner, was too cheap not to get. I like to think of him as a mascot.
Everything in the astronomy lab is ridiculously out of date. Today we went to CompUSA during lunch and bought the first optical mice that room has ever seen. As further evidence of the time warping properties of the astronomy lab, I present Exhibit A: actual software found on a desk in the corner of the lab. It's copyrighted 1994.
According to the instructions you have to use the RAM Doubler first so that you then have enough RAM to double your computer's speed.
