i don't really feel like writing a whole lot, but i want to fill you in...
i went to the emergency room on monday night. we had waited eight hours and they said that we'd be waiting a few more so i just left. i was having a hard time breathing and feeling dizzy/faint/weak but i didn't feel compelled to wait for these doctors that probably wouldn't treat me correctly anyways. so i intended to go to the hospital on base at twelve, but i slept through my alarm and didn't make it. when i got to work at two, i talked to my supervisor about what was going on and how i was still having these symptoms and that it felt like i had a weight on my chest. so she helped me with how i should go about seeing a doctor. well, while at work, i started breathing heavy and found my self gasping for air. sgt foreman rushed over to see what was wrong and then i felt so dizzy, like the room was actually spinning and i was stuck in like, a vortex, i don't even know how to explain it, so she and morse laid me down, called my husband and then called the ambulance. so then i went to the emergency room again, this time in a wheel chair, an oxygen mask and an iv. i was really scared, which didn't help with my breathing. they did bloodwork, a chest x-ray and an ekg. all of my tests came out fine. they did however think that the joint where my sternum and ribs connect is inflamed. and they also had a theory that it was my birth control. so i left twelve hours later, with good test results, ten holes in my arms (they had a hard time getting an iv in me) but yet not with any real answers as to what was wrong with me. so i spent wed-sat resting. today i had my follow-up appointment here on base. the doctor doesn't think that i am well yet, so he is going to do additional tests. one is the stress-test (treadmill) and i don't remember what the other one is. in the meantime, i am not allowed to do any exercise at all (i am bummed) and i have to take everything really easy.
other than that, my husband and i went out yesterday and it was really nice. i forgot how much i loved fresh air :) we went to target (of course) and i bought the leona lewis cd and a few other fun things. her cd is really good, by the way. then we went to trader joes and bought puffin cereal and dried fruit. miller almost ran over someone in the parking lot, that was exciting. then we spent about an hour in borders. we got four bargain books; a photography manual, a massage book, "some like it hot" and a book about mothering. haha, a good selection. it was like, fifteen bucks for all of them. when we were leaving we decided to stop by whole foods since it was next door. it smelled really bad in there, awful bad. so we didn't stay in for too long. and then we went out to eat at 'the elephant bar', came home, watched the movie 'waiting' and then went to sleep. it was nice.
i also found out something kind of interesting. after i picked up my perscription at the medgroup today, i stopped by the women's health clinic to verify if the rumor "if you get pregnant, you will lose your orders" was true or not. the lady said it wasn't true at all. she did say that if you were in your last trimester than they might just delay your move because you shouldn't be traveling on an airplane during that time.
i guess we'll see...
