Puck Series
Puck is a Garden Gnome who loves fishing. He is bored because there is no hook on his line and no fish in the pond at his house. At night he goes to the shed in the back of the garden and reads about foreign lands in the magazines he finds there. One day Puck decides to go and see it all for himself.
Featuring many pictures, reading about Puck is not only fun but educational as well. Puck visits real locations, meeting real people in the countries he visits.
The Puck the Garden Gnome books exuberantly cross a broad reading range - they both extend confident younger readers, and then work as visually-cued books for older readers.
The author, Martyn Hendriks, is himself a world traveler. The stories he has written appeal to young and old. The Puck series is strongly recommended for reading skills development.
