Salve!
I have taken time out of my busy schedule (of Latin, and Latin) to start up this here journal. Y'all are you going to have to convince me that I should write more than one time, though. You have a competing interest (Latin). So... anyway.
For those of you who do not speak the language which has taken over my life for the past year, a few pointers.
My screenname means: Kiwi (that's my real name) is a monster.
I know, I know, very clever. Moving on.
Salve!, which I have used at the beginning means... "Howdy", "S'up", "Hope you don't meet your demise today", etc. It traditionally means, though, "Hello" or "Be well!"
Yeah. Now, don't get me wrong. I am not a pretentious snob. I just live Latin right now. It manages to permeate every aspect of my life. For instance, in 2 hours, I am going to go eat a traditional Roman dinner. I don't want to. These things happen.
This journal therefore will become a griping about/practicing/praising/enjoying Latin journal; there is little else of importance in my life (besides my wonderful Chris (and anyone else who would be mad if they aren't mentioned here)). But seriously, Latin is my life.
Cura ut valeas! (Take care to be well!)
Vale! (Toodle-oo!)
Your quasi-pretentious pal,
~Kiwi~
