Back home

May 27, 2004 10:10

I arrived back home last night at about 10:30. We left from Pensacola, Florida on Tuesday morning, drove north thru Alabama (we ate lunch in Cullman, Alabama - Jennifer, isn't that where you are from?). We then proceeded through Tenessee, Kentucky, and finally spent the night in Marion, Illinois. From there we went straight up Illinois (there was water everywhere), stopped in Bloomington for lunch, and then shot up through Wisconsin, around the Twin Cities, and home. Trip totals: 1399 miles over two days, with an average gas mileage of around 12 mpg. There are not many rest areas in the south, and almost as many broken down cars as dead armadillos.
