This trailer looks sweet! Brotherhood of the Wolf meets The Village, based on the TN legend of the Bell Witch. Donald Sutherland and Sissie Spacek rule.

Today is so awesome! Last night lawpeeps, Techix, anarkistsdream, cadence1, Skylar, and Eric all gave Brent a good send-off to Washington. We had yummy chili and Oktoberfest, had an hour-long conversation around a big empty table about the story behind the most disgusting picture ever, and then went down into the depths of the basement and listened to Beck's Novacaine. Afterwards Techix and I went back to my residence so we could watch Scorsese's Casino. However, we were both exhausted even with fresh coffee, and we had to stop it for later halfway through.

I awoke this morning thinking it was Saturday. But because we'd started all our evening activities so soon (6:10 PM) the night before, I had went to bed by 11:00, meaning I'm well-rested. The sun is shining, and everything is awesome! Work is VERY quiet and peaceful today so far. I love it. Its giving me time to do the things that really matter most.

On the way to work falfax and I listened to the opening few tracks of Mike Oldfield's Songs of Distant Earth, one of THE BEST albums ever, period This album is note-perfect in every way, and should be an example for composition students. We bought the album back in 1998, and I've listened to it constantly ever since. It makes wonderful driving music, and is almost always responsible for a welling of deep positive energy inside me. Its based on the Arthur C. Clarke novel of the same name, and never have I experienced a more singular comment upon the connectedness and future glory of humanity than with this instrumental concept album. Actually Beethoven's 9th Symphony beats it in that category, in about a quarter of the running time, but this one comes close itself.

And this morning I discovered two new rare films I HAVE to own, both starring Eleonora Giorgi: Appasionata (1974), and a great nunsploitation film, "The Story of a Cloistered Nun" (1973).
