Work confession

Sometimes when I feel like my students think I've got it too easy, I pull open this drawer in my cubicle that makes a loud noise, rifle through a few papers, and then shut it real hard! I repeat this a few times a day, to make them think I'm doing more paperwork than they see me doing.

You've got to do things like that. Looking busy and occasionally stressed out is essential at work.

I get the feeling one student in particular thinks I'm not busy enough...you might guess who. This scenario is usually whenever she's around...like now, and it drives me nuts. I actually do have too much paperwork most of the time, but because its so streamlined, it doesn't look like I'm actually doing that much, when really I am. I need those added sound effects to "prove my efficiency"!

Hahahaha... Holy shit, that's great.... If I had a drawer at work, I'd wanna do the same thing!

You could bring a little audio playback device that will say, "Now processing Request!", or something along those lines, and pretend the computer is saying that back to you!
