(no subject)
Yesterday falfax and I departed earlier from AR than Rebecca and Colin (her Colin) did, leaving with her parents in order to get back to my parent's house in time for birthday stuff. We stopped off and had lunch around 1:00 PM at the Macaroni Grill in Tulsa (where I had artichoke pizza), and then to Stillwater, arriving there around 3:45 PM. We went to my parent's house at 5:30, and stayed til about 9:15. From there we went to meet with Lawpeeps in seeing The Corpse Bride, which of course, is a magnificent take on the Russian folk tale. I received many well-wishing calls throughout the day, and generally had a good time. My cake had two pictures dyed-into the icing: One of me at five hours old, and one of me from a few years ago with a video camera in hand.
My parents got me Kung Fu season 3 (I now own the whole series!). Falfax got me the wonderful animated The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe DVD and Guy Maddin's Cowards Bend the Knee DVD. My brother gave me five free movie tickets, and my sister gave me some money inside a great Star Wars card. There were a few other other assorted cards and monetary amounts from relatives that have been coming through the mail the past week, and lawpeeps gave me a prelude gift, a great SW activity book that took me back to my youth.
Since I was MIA from the internet all weekend, I knew I'd have a TON of stuff to catch up on. Consequently, my dreams last night were all Livejournal-related! First I dreamed that I met sholanda in person and hung out; It was really cool. Then I dreamed that I worked for Rick Walker (local radio personality) at the OCCC film program. He was being very lax since it was technically his off-hours, and he wanted me to just hang-out to be comfortable in the environment. I went into the restroom to relieve myself and noticed that he'd taped down a monologue around the inner-rim of the toilet to help him practice it in the morning before work. Weird stuff. There were other LiveJournal-related people and incidents, but I can't remember them all. It's just bizarre that even happened!
