A Query

Someone was recently asking me if I watch Aqua Teen, to which I replied "No". But then after he was going on about loving it, I asked him if he'd seen the movie, to which he replied he hadn't.

Brain processing error! This suddenly reminded me that I know a TON of hardcore Aqua Teen fans, yet I haven't heard that a single one of them has actually went and plopped down the $6 to see the movie in theatres, and it's already been out for over a full month; It reminds me of the complete non-support of the Tenacious D movie when it was released last summer. Everyone made such a big deal over the electronic Aqua Teen sign-bomb squad ordeal back in January I would've expected it to have a massive turnout, partially due to the reminder that incident provided.

Checking its current intake at boxofficemojo.com, I see it's currently only grossed a paltry $5,486,000. However, the imdb indicates it has a 7.6/10 scoring, which means that the 3, 505 fans that did troop out to see it must've found it to be a feature-worthy translation.

Since I'm obsessed with marketing strategies in regards to people's entertainment tastes, tell me: Why didn't you go see this film? I especially want to know if you consider yourself a fan of the show and just didn't get out to it.
