I've had an increasing interest in Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld the past two years, who in many ways reminds me of
Marcello Mastroianni. I think I have a lot of similarities in taste and in process to the way his mind works, yet he seems to embody some traits much better than I've been able to in the past. Thanks to
tallwithglasses's posting a link to the wonderful kottke.org yesterday, one of the wondeful articles I stumbled upon was
this one, a brand-new, very in-depth (9,700 words) exploration of Lagerfeld, past, present, and future. It was a fascinating read which I'll have to go through again. He's a real inspiration in so many ways.
