I now have in my hands a copy of Cowboys for Christ by Robin Hardy, the sequel to
The Wicker Man (1973) one of the Top Fifteen best films ever in my opinion!
This sequel book came out last year, but never got reprinted as a paperback. If I had more time to read I'd probably have forked up the $30 for a copy at the time, but given that the last hardback I bought, The Godfather Returns took me two years to finish, I just couldn't warrant the money.
I initially tried to access it through Interlibrary Loan, but they turned me down because only one other library in the world (in England) held it. I recently saw that two more libraries added it, so decided to try again. It worked!
Now I can finally see what it will be like when Sean Astin, Vanessa Redgrave, and Christopher Lee finally shoot the film here in Oklahoma and Texas sometime soon!
This and Return of the Wolf Man in the same week (two books that sell for a high amount)? I love Interlibrary Loan!
