So much to post about: Pictures from the Nashville party last month, a report of how the Dracula screening went last weekend (well, a picture of the Paprika Hendl anyway), a picture of that naked guy in partial costume from last Halloween for
jimberly, general mention of how my life is going aside from films (although they are the hallmarks of my constant living life), et cetera. Its just hard to get it all down sometimes.
The CMT music video was the smoothest thing I've ever had the pleasure of working on. From conception to shooting, through editing for four hours last night, it was so very rewarding for me creatively and professionally. I did have that bit of technical trouble on Sunday just trying to get prepared for editing, but that had nothing to do with the film. As I calculated it last night when I finished the video (I think its pretty wonderful if I do say so myself!), it only took me ten hours total to edit. Add to that eleven hours of shooting (including lunch, and roughly ten hours of planning beforehand; Pretty good time for the end result. I'm so excited to show it off. I hope Dollar Bill is happy with it. I will have to make any adjustments he requests, and I do need to make it close-captioned for television, but those things shouldn't add more than two more hours at the most.
In less than four hours I'll be heading to a remote farm in Illinois to start another long-term project, though this one is very laid back and informal. I'll enjoy the 12 hour drive each way, and hopefully I'll get a little rejuvenated just by being out in nature a bit more than usual. Then it'll be time to start in on the blank-on-a-blank video contest with
