How Film Savvy Are You?
The Internet Movie Database has a link ranking the Top 250 Films Ever Made (as voted by the general population AND film historians and professional critics). How many of these have you seen?
*NOTE: Because Quizilla is lame and wouldn't let me have more than twenty entries per poll, I ended up having to split this into 13 polls. Just follow the link to each one in succession, and keep count as you click 'Yes' to the ones you have seen. You won't have to remember more than a count of twenty per quiz. Then add them all up at the end, and report in the comments field what your ratio is for it all (e.g. 127/250). It'll be interesting to see the results of each poll's spread.
Gray Frederickson used to tell a story about a hotshot Hollywood producer that would openly brag he hadn't seen Citizen Kane because "it's an old black and white movie", and how he eventually got burned on a job because of it! I wonder how many Michael Bay's of the world have seen even half of these:
