Bela was a treat as always, especially as he commanded his torture chamber. He gets away with some real nastiness in this pre-Hayes Code film. Sidney Fox was a great actress I hadn't seen much of before now. I've only got 42 more films to go on my definitive Universal Classics list from a few months back!
