X3 posters emulate Rent poster
Harry at Ainitcool.com posted this new X3 teaser poster because he's baffled at how much it riffs on the Rent posters from three months ago. Personally I like it, and feel that if Fox Marketing was indeed ripping on another one of their properties for inspiration, then I feel they couldn't have chosen a better recent film to emulate for these characters. I like the posters for Wolverine and Rogue particularly. It makes me wish X3 was indeed a musical; There would actually be a wealth more drama inherent in all the character interactions, since music conveys emotion far more than dialogue can in most situations. Taye Diggs was awesome enough in Rent, so he could've crossed over as some mutant. And we know Hugh Jackman's a big Broadway star, fresh from his interstitial musicals he shines in between films.
