Snow and opportunities...

While my Saturday mornings are typically spent driving around looking for stuff to sell, THIS Saturday morning is different, see...

I could easily get out and go but what would be the point? It's a snow day for most folks and I doubt that I'll find any places open.

That being said, I had a killer Scott show this month and have plenty of new merch to process. The two best things that I bought...a piece of Shoji Hamada pottery and a beautiful Byron Temple wood-fired covered jar. The Hamada will probably go to auction where it will hopefully realize thousands of bux. The Temple will go nowhere, this because it is almost exactly what I have been searching for over the last few years...one superlative example of his work for my personal collection. I have LOTS of pottery, but almost all of it is for sale. I retain very few pieces for myself and hope to someday have them properly displayed. Big congrats to my friend Laura, who picked up a pot that I walked right by to get to the Hamada and Temple. It turned out to be a Lucie Rie footed vase...big bux are coming her way! Some days are better than others and some days are just the best!

Stay warm, play in the snow, drive safely.
