Wow, the holidays can really munch the rotting corpses butt of the commercial whore its loosely attached to.
Not to be obtuse or anything.
You know what it is, its not even the commercialism and BUY BUY BUY thing that really gets to me, its the forced pleasantry. LIke how in the Christmas season we're all expected to be nice to each other and go spend time with family/friends etc. that we loathe the rest of the year. To me, this is beyond goofy. Forced niceness ain't really a positive thing. Seems to me you should enjoy the holidays in a way you enjoy, with people you like. Call me a nutty bunny if you will, but family get togethers that turn into drunken screaming matches dont seem to really be all that Christmasy to me, not overly in the spirit of things.
Lies make Baby Jeebaz cry.
When I was growing up, a Christmas miracle was if my old man didnt get tanked by noon and launch me into the tree. Miracles never really happen in real life by the way. So now, I give gifts to people i super dig, and I just try to mellow and have some happy feelings of a non-denominational sense, and I even occasionally wax nostalgic about the supposed virgin birth of a potentially fictitious historical figure who was a carpenter previous to his career as a prophet. If there is a God, and this really is his son's birthday, I'll bet he's not particularly impressed with us. Or our forced death march of a Christmas celebration. So. I would like to extend the following early christmas wishes to the following. To jenicided, I hope your trip goes well, keep the bile ready. To dimlightbulb, best of luck, and keep your track shoes on when its time to bolt. :) To maddycat, i hope things warm up for you, perhaps a new career in serial arson could solve a couple problems for you. :) To Da Bitchez, drink hard and long, and wake up with something hard and long. :P
To justred, enjoy the new job, and blessings upon you. To vainpoppy, mucho hugs and love, you are God's special warrior. :) To Punrufie, you think too much. Get drunk and make some mistakes. :)
More to come, but in the meantime, I love you all. Now go dancing.
