Sarah McLachlan's Wintersong - I'm a longtime fan of McLachlan's haunting melodies and sweet voice. This album does not disappoint. There are several traditional songs on the album as well as a few original pieces. The most notable track on the album is "What Child Is This? (Greensleeves)". The backup vocals propel McLachlan's voice into ethereal levels. Close your eyes while listening and you'll be transported to a place where the true meaning of Christmas couldn't be mistaken. "The First Noel/Mary Mary" is a gorgeous experimental track, with the traditional melodies overlaid with a catching tribal type rhythm. She also has a beautiful rendition of "Silent Night". If you can't buy the whole album, at least download these tracks and enjoy. You won't be disappointed. A
Scotch Tape Gift Labels - For the life of me, I can't find a link for these. I recently bought tape in a multipack and as a bonus, Scotch included a roll of adhesive gift tags. I have never been more thrilled with a wrapping item than I am thrilled about these. They alternate in gold and red and they're slightly transparent. The transparency allows the label to blend into just about every type of wrapping paper. Gone are the days of cutting paper to fit the package or hunting for a hastily taped gift tag that fell off in transit. A+ I just wish I could find out where to buy this on its own.
Clorox Anywhere Hard Surface Spray - I LOVE this stuff. Because it's safe for anywhere, including food surfaces and baby areas, I use it all over the place. I clean the high chair, I clean toys, I clean the baby, (no, just kidding). Anyway, in addition to being a disinfectant, it has a very mild smell. It reminds me of pool water in a way. It really does the job when it comes to lifting dirt or stains from walls, toys, furniture, etc. A.
The Natural Bridge - I'd totally give a review for this if I HAD ACTUALLY SEEN IT. We were driving home from Alabama and decided to stop to see it. However, what we didn't realize is that they would be charging $12 per person to walk down a hill and under (not over) the Natural Bridge. I didn't know they were allowed to charge people to see something God made. But hey, that's capitalism for you. Boo on that. D, and not an F only because the walk down to the gate was quite pretty.
That's all for now, folks... I must go get Mobile up from her nap. Merry Christmas!
