Don't you hate the politics of friendship?
I live a relatively bileless life these days, there's only one person who I have serious issue with, and yet I have to socialise with her because she's friends with my friends. It makes things so difficult, and it brings out an ugly side to me. I'm constantly wanting to manipulate conversation or drop in sly digs to annoy her, I've basically abandoned any pretence of rising abover it recently. She makes my blood curdle.
I suppose it's inevitable really, because it's hard to really have such strength of feeling against someone you barely know and barely spend any time with.
