the new influx of napoleon dynamite fanatics is beyond sickening. it's disheartening how something i love can, at the hands of morons, deteriorate into something i hate in a mere few hours.
i went to my grandparents' house this weekend, and after being awarded with $100 for existing, i sat down at their circa '96 pc and started investigating their hard drive. i remembered the days of playing their overly-pixellated and underly-challenging games, such as Oregon Trail and Treasure Mathstorm! (note: that exclamation is not a symbol of excitement but an actual character in the title of the game.)
i'm sure you're all familiar with Oregon Trail, but Treasure Mathstorm! is beyond compare. the object of the game is to scale a mountain whilst capturing elves, solving the math problems (eg: 0+4=?) they assault you with, counting piles upon piles snowballs and crystals, balancing scales for hindu princesses, and constructing catapults. for doing all of this (which even when played at maximum speed still takes at least 15 minutes) you are awarded with a "treasure." these said "treasures" are simply bouncing pixellated ice skates or teddy bears. upon receiving your prize, you are sent back to the bottom of the mountain and told that you need 27 more treasures to move up in rank. there are about 14 levels of ranking, and the game format never changes. it's SO. AWESOME.
i played it for about two and a half hours yestersday.
i made a flyer for our first show. my first non-school photoshop project. check it. clichés abound.
i'm stranded in the house today, bored and alone. to be honest, that's the only reason i am updating.
so in closing, when you type the word 'okay' into google image search, the first result you get is a guy getting undercover head.
