It's been a crazy month...

You can stop holding your collective breaths, people. I know you've been dying for another update. :)

So, it has been a topsy turvy period o' time. Some good, some bad.

The bad:

* Chuck's grandmother passed away from a stroke. Chuck was understandably very upset by this.

* The day he returns back to work from the funeral, he is "let go" by his employer.

Lovely and compassionate, don't you think? I knew there were some incredibly shady and backstabbing sorts in the sales/marketing area, but wow. His coworker sold him up the river to save her own floundering position while he was gone on bereavement leave.

This is actually a good thing, however. I hated that company with a fiery passion. Chuck had been sending out feelers for other opportunities before this as Backstabbers, Inc. was destroying his soul. This brings us to...

The good:

* After a stressful week and a half, Chuck found a new job! He starts on Monday. I'm very excited and happy for him. He has been wanting to get out of sales for a while, and this is a new career path -- training veterinary staff on veterinary-specialized software. Cool, huh?

We actually use this software at my clinic and I adore it. Yay!

* We splurged one afternoon and went to the Bodies Exhibition here in Columbus. Absolutely fascinating! For more info, go to: http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/

* My mom got me a Dyson vacuum cleaner as a combination birthday/Christmas gift from last year and this year. Oh. My. God. I'm not ashamed to admit that I dry humped it a little.

Speaking of which, my mom and I have been getting along very well lately -- no, not just because of the vacuum cleaner! :) This makes me very happy.

* My niece had her a baby! His name is Beckham David (soccer fans, can't you tell?) and he is pretty damn adorable. I'm working on spoiling him already. :)

I still somewhat horrified that I'm a great-aunt, however. :) I am a pretty great aunt, though. Get it? Ha! I am hilarious.

In other news:

* I'm chopping off my hair today. The bangs and layers incident has broken me. I don't know how short I'm going to go, but something has to be done. My hair (aside from the bangs part, of course) is way past my shoulders and heavy. I've worn it down maybe 5 times since "the incident". My head hurts and I'm sick of wearing it up all the time. I'm kind of scared and I'm sure tears will be shed today. Hopefully I can still keep it somewhat long. We shall see.

* Gahdoo celebrated a birthday! She's 6-7ish. :) My fuzzy senior citizen. Yeah, I really don't know when her birthday is or exactly how old she is, but she is definitely starting to become a cranky old lady.

* I finally went to the doctor for my stomach problems. Yay for prescription drugs! While I still can't handle super spicy foods, I can lay down now without burning a hole in my esophagus. I can also eat without searing stomach pain now. Woohoo!

I also have some VERY BIG SHOCKING NEWS.** I just need to share it some other people before I tell my tale on here. It's awesome, I promise.

All right, I need to hit the showers. Have a good one, folks. :)

**I am not pregnant, engaged, moving, etc. It's cool to me, though. :)
