(no subject)
a brief baby update:
jacob elliott
still hanging on to the same due date of january 12th
at my last ultrasound on thursday he weighed in at three pounds and thirteen ounces.
i am so happy about this [i was really hoping he'd be nearing four pounds]
the doctors are happy too.
it's really amazing how much more you can see on those ultrasounds the further along you get.
he's laying with his head in position facing my back and the rest of him is all curled up.
he has conveniently moved his head down just low enough so it's uncomfortable yet he still manages to have his feet tucked right under my ribs on my right side. he looks comfortable [i'm not!].
he has hair! i couldn't believe it - it looks like he has a full head of hair - i have a picture of it.
my favorite part was when the lady tried to wake him up [amazing how he's ALWAYS awake and kicking and moving and then when i want him to be he curls up and naps]. she couldn't get him to wake up - she was poking at me and shaking me and honestly, it's pretty damn OUCH! then i saw him on the screen - he yawned soooo big and then he flicked her off and went back to sleep. it was so silly, but i swear, it happened.
today i am 32 weeks and four days.
it's strange because it really isn't much longer until he'll be here.
i really love how things feel like they're moving along, finally.
things have not been easy - and i've accepted that they probably won't be easy for quite some time.
but when i saw squinted eyes and a giant yawn on a tiny screen - things really don't seem so bad.
ahh well. so it goes.
