Soooooo I've discovered that this overnight job of mine is, although straining my sleep pattern, is actually improving my grades. Because there is obviously nothing else to do at 12:34am, I do my homework. So far the job is going good. It's now my third shift and I feel like I'm doing pretty good so far. Nothing I can't control as of yet, which is a good thing. I'm mostly just here for the homework and paychecks lol. I've met most of the officers and they are super cool. I'm just sorry they have to speak slower right now so I can make sure to do everything right and understand what I'm writing down.
I've survived my 3 week trial period with Sean -- at least I'm almost done. I've got the rest of today and then he'll be back on land sometime Friday. He's promised to call me when he gets a chance (because I'm sappy and miss his voice), even though he broke his phone in a nasty fall. He's coming up Sunday after he's relieved from watch rotation so Lily, Jeremy, myself and him will be celebrating V-day then. A cute little double-date is a nice way to spend a little time together. We're still debrating where we're eating and what we're doing after. If the weather's nice I recommended he and I go up to the star since he enjoys scenic views and night-lights. After that though I have a feeling we're staying inside and catching up on 3 weeks of cuddling.
Things with grad school: About 75-80% done with all of my grad school applications. I still need to get my two teachers to fill out the teacher recommendation forms and write the letters, oh and get transcripts out to every school. I'm taking a campus tour of ODU and possibly Hampton U during spring break. I've got MCAT and GRE exams scheduled and paid for. Now it's the waiting game!
