They would not have to. They would simply know that they lived in a world of calm and logic.

I don't think there's any "simply knowing" if they don't know what the alternatives are. Without the sour, the sweet wouldn't taste.

War is a product of hatred and greed. That we are foolish enough to permit those aspects to rule our society and dominate our actions is disappointing enough. Add to it the suffering and violence scourging the land...
Simply put, war is an abomination of the truest sort.

It's a necessary evil, and that's that. World peace is a great idea, but humanity is never going to let that happen.
