Dinner with anyone...

Napoleon. Of course.

One could learn so much from such a man, even in the short span of one dinner.

A person who visualized what he wanted to become, and actually accomplished it. From such humble beginnings, just another young man at the Ecole Militaire, working his way up to being named commander-in-chief of the French army by age 26, all the way to becoming Emperor by the age of 35!

Of course, he was also sent into exile at age 45. But I imagine those twenty years between his rise and fall were truly glorious.

I think most of all I would want to know what happened to bring it all down. I know, we have the histories to tell us, but I would like the *real* story. I imagine someone close to him betrayed him.

Probably a woman.

Someone he trusted above all others.

Someone he loved.

They always stab you in the back eventually.
