Getting ready for Otakon!! Ahhhh
So this month has been nutz to say the least.
All that aside now im just focasing on getting my Taokaka costume ready for saturday and have these side commissions finished.
Im so far behind its not even funny.
My new job has been killing my lifestyle of working on commissions. once i get home at 11:30-midnight im dead tired from being on my feet all day with only 1 break to each around 6pm.
I sleep untill 11am and by the time i get up there is just enough time to take a shower, get ready and eat before i go back in again.
This week I forced myself to stay up till 1am to work on my costume (hasnt happened) then in the morning i work on the Ragna wig and been working on resin eyes for a friends costume.
Yesturday i skiped working on the wig to get at least my other paw made and covered in Nu-foam for the sleeves..just got my shoes in which will need modifying and need the make the whole hoodie outfit still, i have the mask/tail done..
Thursday will be nutz!
Im gonna wake up early to finish the wig, then start the legging/coat pattern. then draw out the giant zipper.
The i'll gather supplies and head over to Chris's around 2pm and on the way pick up a white wig cap for gregs wig.
At Chris's I'll help tailor his jacket and style the green wig, while he works on chopping the back off my heels and makes the giant zipper tab thingy.
hopefully this will all be done by 5pm at the latest.
Then Meet up with Kathy/April to get our pre-reg and hopefully the northern crew too.
Im sure everyone is going to want to eat at a restaurant but i just Can Not afford that. Parking will be hard enough.
So im going to head over to the Days Inn to meet up with my friend Storm Akima and help install these led eyes into her Alphonse Helmet.
Im really hoping we make it back to my place NO LATER THAN 9PM!!
This is very important as i will still have a majority of my costume to sew up. and i really do know want to spend ALL friday working on it.
So the reason im desperate to make this costume is that i just found out Monday that the skit for the Masquerade is still on and i have a big part in the skit...as in..i will be on stage the whole time acting out my part.
SO this morning once i received the audio i started practicing for a half hour and ate some foods.
Now to start styling the big spikes on this wig before work....Ugghh work.
It wouldn't be so bad if i wasn't in training to be the 2nd shift manager AND we have to mover every floor item from one side of the store to the other for STRIP AND WAX...
For the people in my hotel at the holiday inn, Check in is 4pm friday and check out at noon.
I will call thursday or talk to them direct about early check in and if mini fridges are in the room.
