Specimen cups are really leaky. Every time I close one that has some chemical in it I end up spilling a bunch on my gloves/lab coat. Why are they like this? They can make all kinds of jars that never leak, but not specimen cups, they never fail to leak. There is nothing that goes into a specimen cup that is good to accidentally get on your hands, a specimen cup should be one of the most secure containers known to man. Urine, semen, human poo, little bits of tissue removed from the body sitting in some weird preservative, these things need to be properly contained and yet it seems no one has come up with something better. It makes me so mad, and I have no one to turn to as I am at work all alone.
