Things are going a lot better for me right now than they are for Jeff. It'll be better (e.g. cheaper) once we move into Ellie's house. I am REALLY excited about that, the closer it comes. Housesitting Ellie's mom's house is going to be great. No rent, only utils. We have to keep the cats alive, but after that, Mary's doesn't care what happens. Also, Jeff and I just got a HUGE bed. We've been sleeping in a twin all this time and we're now in a queen. Ahhhhhh.... I need to go get sheets for it, but it's great.
I've been looking for a phone on ebay lately (I lost mine in Florida) but no luck yet. I'm also looking for tickets to go see my awesome big sister in Austin, TX. The internet vastly simplifies such searches.
Being in Athens with no school is wierd. I usually manage at least a month's worth of hang out time in Florida, but I'm mostly here working. What bothers me is the down time. I used to go to Florida mostly to escape my mother's home projects that seem to multiply as the summer goes on. Something about having multiple bored kids around for months on end makes her prone to home improvement. Free child labor. Anyway, now that I live at Jeff's ( I haven't spent a night at the apartment since before finals) I have a lot of free time. I think I'm going to learn Gaelic and brush up on my swahili and spanish in prep for the coming year. I'm not sure how to go about it, though. The swahili and spanish I have notes on, but Gaelic is tottaly foreign to me. Also it's pretty obscure (I only know one person in Ga who speaks it fluently). I guess I should start at the library. Maybe the UGA one has some useful book or tapes. If anyone has any sugestions, lemme know.
I'm going to go back to rereading fantasy books now. they amuse me.
