What the weekend saw
I reached a decision on my housing situation over the weekend thanks to some helpful advice & a kindly offer from C & her new flattie F. They basically warned me off moving back into the crap-hole & F offered me some free storage space in her garage. So I'll be staying at P's until I've found suitable accomodation. Hopefully I can find "Two men & a truck" to move my stuff at a cheap price coz I doubt you can rent a ute with disabled modifications.
Tried to watch 'The Descent' on Friday night but P's DVD don't play multi-region & the disc is from UK. Luckily there was an episode of 'The Brak Show' on Adult Swim (aahh the joys of pay TV) so we got our chuckle on.
C made a lovely pasta for dinner Saturday night & we went through the '1000 Movies you must see before you die' book. I was surprised by some of the entries, There was a fair amount of Horror & 'Tetsuo' was included as was 'Pink Flamingos' & 'Videodrome'. 'Delicatessen' was listed too which was the first movie C & I saw together (& one we both agree is brilliant).
I didn't get any knitting done coz I never went & got the needles I need but I did get some more work done on the crocheted toy for C's new nephew. I was having withdrawals last week when I couldn't find my hooks. I'll havta start on Xmas presents soon, thankfully I've got a coupla ideas which will work for various people.
I did some more moving yesterday, I'm still sleeping on the air-bed but I have the majority of my DVD's with me now. Picked T up from the airport last night & we went to Kelly's on King St for a couple of drinks. She was still pretty upset after the funeral.
So all up it was a pretty busy weekend. I can't wait for my life to be sorted & I can actually relax for a few days.
