What's John Cusack got to do with it?
Credit for my dinner last night goes to Patty Hearst & the Symbionese Liberation Army. For those not in the know, Patty hearst is the daughter of publishing tycoon Randlph Hearst & when she was 20 she was kidnapped by the SLA. The SLA then demanded her father distribute $6million of food to the poor.
During the time she was held captive, Patty developed a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome & ended up helping the SLA rob a bank to further their cause. Years later Patty met John Waters & landed her first movie role as Wanda's Mother in 'Crybaby'.
So, back to my story. I had some really crap service at KFC on Saturday night & having done my time in the food service industry I decided a complaint call was warranted. To placate me, the manager offered me a free burger-combo & considering the void that is my wallet I was more than happy to accept his offer.
Chicken-salt is one of man's greatest inventions & it tastes even better when it's free.
