When I graduated from U of R, Jamie (who is awesome) got me a dartboard as a gift, knowing that I had wanted one. It's a really nice dartboard, wooden with doors that fold out and everything.
I have yet to hang it up anywhere, yet to even unwrap it from the plastic. I brought it to my old apartment in Rochester, and it sat there. I don't think I brought it to Cortland or Oneonta, but still, it sat in my house in Candor. And now it's in my apartment here, just inside my bedroom door. Like so many things in my life, I just never got around to putting it up - I never found a reason to put in the effort to put it on the wall, making sure it's the right height, making sure I don't drive a nail through a pipe or something. Nearly three years, and this gift has not been used once.
Well, maybe it's time to play some darts.
