“Well, Nakajima-kun? Do you have the answer yet?”
Suzuka sighed and looked down at her paper so that no one could catch the roll of her eyes. She wasn’t sure who she was more annoyed with- the teacher, subbing for the next month, for torturing her poor would-be boyfriend mercilessly, or Yuuto for getting himself in this mess in the first place. It wasn’t like he was dumb -the stupid, goofy look on his face was quite misleading,- but for some reason this sub had it out for him. (Suzuka placed it all on jealousy.) And he took it out on him by poking at Yuuto’s weakness in mathematics.
Come on idiot, we went over this before class! Her telepathic messages were of no use- Yuuto looked like he wanted to cry.
Suzuka sighed; couldn’t he do anything on his own?
The quiet drop of her eraser after she nudged it off the edge of her desk caught his attention. When he glances towards her, though, all he would see was her chin resting in her palm as she looked down boredly at her paper, the answer clearly written on the back of her hand. Out of the corner of her eye she caught Yuuto looked dumbfounded at her and sighed, clearing her throat.
“O-oh! A-ah, 7-3x…?”
The teacher looked suspicious, but with no obvious cheating going on he grumbled and let it slide, and Yuuto dropped into his seat with a relieved sigh. Suzuka hid a small smile in her palm, and pointedly ignored his attempt to get her attention again.
Finally she glanced towards him when a hand gently placed the eraser on her desk, glaring warningly at him. Yuuto simply smiled and turned back to the face the front, copying her position and leaning his chin in his palm, allowing her to see the small heart drawn in on the back of his hand.
Suzuka flushed and quickly looked down again, using her hair as a curtain to hide the pleased look on her face. Idiot.
