[Whenever one losses a battle what happens? That's obvious, you end up at ye ol' Pokémon Center you last visited. In Red's case it happens to be the one in Viridian City. It's been three long years that he just stands and stares in a daze. It probably doesn't help how he's staring at the lights above while the Nurse takes less than a few moments to heal all six of his Pokémon.
