Winning the peace
The final exam in Sallust was today. Cakewalk, if long. Barring catastrophe, I should get an A in the course. On to Ovid and Suetonius next term. However, I'm setting myself an informal goal: to read the whole of the Catiline and perhaps the Jugurtha in the original over the break. I have the friggin text with me. I might substitute a head-start on Divus Augustus for the Jugurtha. I've already read about a fifth of the Catiline today.
I also took Yuki into the shop to at long last get the airbag problem fixed. I no longer need fear a failure of that particular system every time I drive. Picking the car up, I went downtown, walking around for a bit and trying out the new(ish) Volta cafe. It definitely has a sleeker veneer than Maude's-but you can see into the kitchen/office, which is kind of a downer. There's also an interesting looking bar/lounge on 1st Street.
