Resolved: No more blue shirts. However lovely they are, my closet is stuffed with them. It's getting into the cold season and, I have almost nothing but sweaters and blue shirts. This state of sartorial affairs will absolutely not do. It won't do, but it must for now. Despite the 30% reductions, I shan't be going to the Banana this month. My hope is to wait for the 40%-50% reductions in November and December. How spectacular last year's reduction was! If I could walk out next month with a couple of jackets, a long-sleeved, white shirt or two, and several pairs of pants for $500, I'd be most happy. Next month. Next month.
I love autumn and early winter: clothing takes (in theory) a turn for the sombre and elegant, the air has a soft crispness and sets the skin to tingling, and even music feels different... some works seem to fit the dying of a year better than others.
