It is now official.
As of a couple of hours ago, I am:
a) booking a year in advance
b) a $3000.00 + photographer.
IT IS TIME TO CELEBRATE.
Now I just need to continue to book more clients at $3000.00 a year in advance, and I'll be all set.
Also, I figured out that as soon as I can book up a solid year (25 weddings), we can buy a house AND I can get a horse. Maybe even two horses, depending on where I board. Seriously. Will 2008 be the year that rocks the most of all in my whole entire life?
Also, I am working really hard on a novel right now. I want to get it done enough that I can land an agent by the end of 2007. It's awesome, but I'm not going to say on the internets what it's about until after I have an agent. Why do I need an agent? Because it's relatively time-sensitive re: current events, even though it is a novel and therefore fiction - so I think being represented by a good agent will get it read a lot faster, and therefore published a lot faster, which will make it a better sale while certain current events are still capturing the public's imagination. Also, I want to minimize the chances that others will be writing and trying to sell their take on the same story.
