WoW: Raiding Weekend

Had a pretty full WoW weekend. With the recent achievements, a lot of people want to get some of the old stuff done, so my Guild went back to visit some of the old content. The onyl achievements I needed were for the two Ahn Qiraj instances, but I helped out on Blackwing Lair and Molten Core too

Illidari Council is really easy if you manage to A) interrupt the priest's heals B) stay out of the AOEs and C) keep your mage tank alive.

Other than that it was fairly simple.

Yeah reading over the strats it doesn't look bad. If we can avoid Archimonde's fire, this shouldn't be too bad. Any idea on what kinda of gear the Mage tank should have? Pure stamina, PvP or the Arcane Resist stuff?

I really wish I could tank that mob, but I just hav no way to cancel their other ability. After tanking the Caster Emperor in AQ40, I want to do it some more!

Our mage was in his standard raiding gear, as far as I know. He'll be spellstealing the dampen magic off of the IC mage, so I don't think it requires and particular resistences, since the base mitigation will be so high.

Illidari Council down! the advice you gave was perfect, we got them in three tries after mastering the pull. :D

Good to hear! It's one of those great "MOVE THE FUCK OUTTA THE WAY!" fights, and has some really, REALLY good incentives to succeed.
