x___x uh. I watched Cloverfield with Jessica today.
and uh, holy shit.
I knew the movie would be good but I didn't know it would so traumatizing.
seriously.
I didn't really know what to expect from the movie but it was much more amazing than I thought?
Jessica and I felt really uncomfortable while watching it, though.
I don't know. Maybe it's because if I were in that situation, I would be scared out of my mind?
Or maybe I was just really hungry and wanted to eat badly.
Still.
I loved the action and the suspense. Lots of death.
Pretty scary, actually.
The part that traumatized me the most would probably be Marlena's death. That scene was just horrible. I thought that she was killed by the military because she was bitten by one of the crab-monsters, but then I checked on wiki and apparently her stomach exploded. A reaction to the monster bite. A soldier earlier also had a case like that and they showed the exploded stomach. (The soldier was still alive. How is that possible?)
I tried to stay after the movie ended, because before watching it, I read from wiki that there's a short radio transmission about the aftermath of the attack after the credits. But uh, the credits were way too long so we left. It will probably be posted on YouTube someday. (A couple sitting behind us actually stayed and one of them chuckled when I said "Let's go. The credits are too long")
The monster actually looked kind of like a zombie with red eyes from flies and a dino tail and it drops those spider-crab-monster things. Budding?
The movie felt really real to me, probably because of the hand-held video camera style. I also liked the usage of technology. Everyone in the movie used some sort of technology, mainly cellphones. That's another thing that made it so realistic. I mean, if something weird were to happen, we would probably take out our cameras/cellphones out and record it, too.
One word to sum up the movie : awesome
hahah, I was totally tensed and frightened while watching.
(btw, there's a manga for Cloverfield and the setting is in Japan. WTF?)
afterwards, we went to the bookstore and bought coffee. <3
maaah. I think I am going to watch The Eye next.
I am starting to love horror movies again.
so, uh, a couple days ago, I smelled something burning when my mom opened the garage door.
we knew it wasn't us. so, we were like "whatever"
and I smelled it again today.
after half an hour, my dad took out the trash and saw that our neighbor was burning something in her backyard.
seriously, she's still burning it. I can see the lights from the fire bouncing off of her walls.
we're just hoping that she won't burn our house down.
(btw, she's the lady that owned a pig a couple years ago and then the pig disappeared after half a year.)
