been a while - I know. Between work and flying around the country for my world wind wedding tour I've had no time to do jack.
Came back from Vancouver the other night from my cousin's wedding. It was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous scenery and just everything was beautiful. My favorite wedding thus far. My cousin married a half filipino half indo girl who is catholic. So there was the indian wedding and reception one night and then the catholic wedding and yet another reception out on Victoria Island another night. The father of the bride gave an amazing speech that had every single person crying and the best friend, best man etc continued. Very very emotionional. Then the bride and groom gave speeches in which they cried and everyone else cried....crazy canadians (except you, Sunny:). It was one wedding where you could just feel how much in love my cousin and his now WIFE are. They are truly meant to be. I hope my wedding is like that.
Partied a lot more than I imagined this weekend at the wedding. My 19 year old bro got hammered and got sick everywhere...I cleaned up after him, covered for him and we bonded. Weird setting, but good outcome.
LEaving tonight for my old roomate's bbq wedding reception thingy in Chicago - actually back in champaign where we went to school. Should be fun but I'm not yet recovered from canada.
Swamped at work - had my mid year review and it went very well so I can't complain too much.
OH - totally forgot - I saw the bbq boy's parents at the vancouver wedding and they were all about me. Little do they know the son is blowing me off - but they kept asking me if we've been hanging out so he must not have said anything too bad to them about me, right? Then at the very end the dad was saying bye to me and was like "If you talk to him, tell him we say hello" I'm like "If YOU talk to him, tell him I say hello" I mean WTF, like I'm really going to talk to your own son before you do. Come on. I think it's wishful thinking from the dad and he wants us to date so badly that he's pretending we are or something, who knows.
I met some other boy at the wedding but he's in Winnipeg - we've been emailing a little bit
More stories to follow about the Lingerer and the Gentleman w/ the gf. It's a doozy of a story!!! We have a reason to hate her now. I'll save it for my next entry.
have a good one everyone
