The 4th of July was fun. I spent the day with Mallory and Cathy's side of the family. We had BBQ and swam. No fireworks. It was fun though. I missed going to the farm and eating homemade ice cream. I hope my family decides to do that soon.
A huge storm blew into NB last night and we had to let Toby inside because he was scared. He was very well behaved. He just found a spot to sleep on Mallory's floor.
I'm finding it increasingly harder to focus on work stuff. My internship ends July 26th, so it's tough to focus and work when I know that I'm just weeks away from being finished. I won't have a job with the City of Kerrville when I'm done, so what's the point? I don't know what the status is on the Planner position, but I've given my 30 day in advance move-out notice as my lease expires at the end of July.
I haven't heard from TX State, but then again, I just mailed my application last week.
No news on the job front. I'm going to start applying for non-city jobs in hopes of just finding something to support me during grad school. I may also beg City Managers in the area to give me another internship.
No news on the engagement either. We don't know what's going to happen yet. We don't know where I'll be and how much I'll be making in a month. Ideally we'd like to get married sometime in June of next summer, however, I don't know if her parents would help her finish her degree or not. I guess it's all stuff we'll need to talk about. If not, then we'll have to wait another year I suppose. I hope everything works out well. I know it will, but I hope it works out the way we hope it will.
