Running to stand still

Happy new year, darlings.

I have nothing to report! I've kind of fallen into that funk where I don't feel like I have anything to contribute by posting, so I don't post, and then the feeling that when I do post it needs to be with exceptionally interesting subject matter, which I don't have, and it all just compounds. But! Whatever, it's a new year, clean slate, so I am getting over myself. :)

The other implication of the new year is that I am giving up the ghost on pretending that I'll ever go back and feedback the 100+ stories I have saved in my memories with the intention of commenting on them. Instead, I will just go back through the list and move them to my recs categories, and resolve this year to not let myself click on a story unless I'm willing to take two minutes at the end to give feedback. (Also victims of the clean slate effect: any unfilled ficlet requests or half-done fics, minus a few exceptions listed below.) I think that's a nice and neutral and attainable fandom resolution.

Other fandom goals for 2007:
  • try to write at least one story every other month. I NEED to finish the fic for Anna, Nan's long-overdue birthday amensia fic, and my own damn spn_flashback fic first. Then that will be a clean slate too.
  • write Nuge whenever I get the hankering, even if it's just a paragraph or two. To this end, if you've got a Nuge prompt, leave it in the comments and I'll pick one to do today. ♥.
  • comment more in my friends' journals. I sort of have this lame tendency to wait for people to come to me and, I don't know, sometimes I wonder if that makes me come across as standoffish. This is me, being proactive! And friendly!
  • to either have more patience with people and/or comms on my flist when they bug, or take them off my flist. (I'm looking at you, supernaturalfic, for allowing art and icons.)

How about you guys? Do you have fandom resolutions? Did I miss all of them when I was sleeping sixteen hours a day all weekend?

we are super. and natural!
