I'll take "The rapists" for three hundred, Alex
Alrighty. I'm off to the airport for wincon in about three hours (!!!!). Then I won't be back online until a week from Sunday, since BT and I are going on vacation right after. I will miss TWO EPISODES IN A ROW. That is just plain craziness.
Almost as crazy as the bizarro, bizarro crowd at the show we were at (Built to Spill) on Tuesday. Well, perhaps not so much bizarro as ... sort of tired, hippie, college, drug-culture-y. There was lots of smoking and "smoking" and Dead tee shirts and I was pretty much like: yeah, I could do this ten years ago at a Widespread show, but I'm way too damn old for it now. Ha. And then My Morning Jacket tix went on sale today, and what do you want to bet the same people will be there annoying me? Anyway! BT owes me for this one. I told him he has to come to see Arctic Monkeys with me. He said: "and you think THIS crowd is annoying? At least everybody's out of high school." He's so mean to me.
Actually, not really. Three cute BT stories:
1. He got home Monday night after being out of town all weekend. He asks me what I did on Saturday, and I seriously had to think about it for a minute before I remembered I got my hair cut. And he's like, very facepalm-y: "shit! I remembered on Sunday and meant to ask you if you liked it. Shit!"
2. He watched last week's SPN with me and was JUST. ADORABLE. He loves Ash ("he's going to be in more episodes, right?") and is very excited about having a chick (or chicks) on the show. So, you know, to the extent that it's trying to draw in the (straight) male demographic, they know what they're doing!
3. I made him watch the songvid I made for wincon. He was ridiculously sweet about it. His response: "so, wait, you made it about Sam??" AHAHAHA! BT is a Dean!boy. And there, that's a teaser for you. :) I'll put the vid up when I get back!
