An ode to tourist season in DC, day 2:
Midwestern fam'ly:
Stand to the right; god! Also,
It's "soda," not "pop."
Days like today I shouldn't be allowed near the internets, because I'm so tempted to start some anonymous unpopular fandom opinions thread or some shit! Or not anonymous, whatever; I'm not picky! But nay, for I am sweetness and light personified! Even though I stayed up way too late to catch the Wizards on their road trip! Flipping to Nashville Star during timeouts! That Chris Young guy is too cute! But that chick judge bugs!
Also, because I am anal and so interested in the [
hotly contested battle over whether Sam was or was not a virgin when he started college ], I wanted to get some illustrative data beyond my own kneejerk and anecdotally-colored impressions of the sexual activity of pre-college guys. SO! Completely independent of what you think about Sam, please to note that:
According to the CDC, in 2002, only 31% of never-married males aged 15-17 in the United States have ever had sex. (source:
http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm5430a7.htm)
I ONLY post this to address the generalization I saw in a lot of comments that the only pre-college virgin males were those who were virgins for religious reasons or those who didn't have the opportunity (read: too ugly or awkward? not sure). It's hard for me to imagine that describes more than two-thirds of teenaged guys in the country, though.
In other news: Jared!Dean finally has sex with Rory in today's GG rerun! I cannot wait! By all accounts, it will be an enjoyable ep.
