Phil Collins had it right.

So, there was a new episode of this TV show I like a little bit on last night.

Very, very nice. Not enough Dean for me, by a long shot, but really a tight episode. Particular things I want to note, speaking of Dean:

a) cleaning guns I'm sorry did something else happen in this episode?
b) oh, wait, he had this reaction to his brother saying how lucky they were to have their dad. nnnghgh Jensen you rock my socks.
c) Vegas.

And then, of course, the preview for next week lord did you people SEE his face when he says "I'll kill you all!" (or "I'm gonna kill all of you," or whatever, you get the point) ????

More generally, I have to admit I was completely confused to wake up this morning and read my flist and see that everyone was all het up about Sam and Papa. For, I guess, two reasons: 1) every post I saw said the same thing, like, "suck it, fandom!" and I've got a zillion SPN people friended, and if everyone feels vindicated, then ... which fandom is supposed to suck it, again? and 2) even if everybody wasn't agreeing already, why would you want to pick a fight, man?

Dudes, I'm just psyched to get new canon in all its forms, be it how long Sam dated Jess or how Sam and Dean don't always take the bed on the same side of the room or how Sam feels about his pops.

Not to be all "can't we all just get along," because no; but I just LOVE this show, and I LOVE the actors, and I LOVE the fic that people are writing, and I want to share all that with people I enjoy, and it sucks, I guess, to feel like people are judging other people for things that people they have friended have said, and oh, my god I cannot even believe I'm writing this and posting it I'm totally laughing at myself here. It just feels like we're almost at the point where you have to include the following things in your userinfo:

Jensen: pretty, or not pretty but ruggedly hot?
Dean: should the word "woobie" be stricken from LJ forevermore, or no?
Papa apologist: yes, or yes?

For the record, I have an opinion on each of these things, and I'm happy to share them, but I hope that nobody would assume they know what those opinions are based on who is on my flist, or who comments in my journal, or whatever.

One more item of note: I think the chick who is doing the ep reviews on tvguide.com does a really nice job, and I try to remember to vote in their poll every Wednesday. That may not be your thing, and not that I'm necessarily all that worried about the future of Supernatural, but it seems to me that the results of a TV Guide poll are something the PTB could pay attention to when they think about fall schedules.

we are super. and natural!
