Careless with a delicate man

FRIENDS. I am running around crazy getting ready for my trip tomorrow, but I wanted to post to drop some linkage on you. I'm still trying to figure out how I want to do recs for Inception, but in the interim, just a few that I always lose track of because they're on the kink meme and (to my knowledge?) not reposted anywhere conducive to LJ-memorying:

[ A Slap in the Face of Public Taste ]. Smart!Eames number 1, the one with the linguistics book in which Arthur learns that Eames does research.

[ Das Vorbewusste ]. Smart!Eames number 2, the one with the job that Eames constructs to impress Arthur.

And probably one of my top three Inception fics, the one where Eames and Arthur accidentally switch phones OH MY HEART: [ Give Me the Number (If You Can Find It) ]

And then, PEOPLE! dorkorific wrote Inception! And lo, as probably comes as a shock to exactly none of you, it is HYSTERICAL, goddamn. I'm trying to be polite and not harass her for more BUT IT IS HARD OKAY.

[ Twenty-Four Emails ] by dorkorific. Gen-ish ensemble fabulousness with Arthur/Eames undercurrents YAY.

In other news, those Tom Hardy Arena Homme pics have rendered me completely useless, yes.

OKAY. Later today/on my plane(s) tomorrow I will be working on either something little for foxxcub's [ kissing meme ] or for that old TenTropes meme, just to get the juices flowing. Er, so to speak. Also, I want to ruminate a little on Eames' skittishness in the bar scene in Mombasa (you know, the "antimonopolistic sentiments" one), in which he will not make eye contact with Cobb for love or money, and what is that about? Is he just trying to be Aware of His Surroundings? He just seems so weirdly detached, especially in comparison to every other scene in the movie ever. (Um, yes, I watched the film a lot "" while on travel last week. Mmmmm, Eames.)

In the meantime, does anyone have a copy of Pearl Jam's The Fixer? I heard it on XM yesterday and forgot how much I liked it...

AND HEARTS, KIDS!
